Description:
Route 66 Art Show and Sale will be held November 21 to December 28, 2024, featuring works by local artists Rosemary Cantrell, Debbie Carroll, Ryan Dalgliesh, Janet Lay, Jack Price, and Jerry Vincent.
The Opening Reception will be Thursday, November 21, 5:30 to 8 p.m. and the public is invited to attend free of charge and meet the artists.
This show celebrates the historic U.S. Highway 66, popularly known as Route 66, an agent of social transformation and a remnant of America’s past that stretched 2,400 miles across two-thirds of the continent.
The artists will pay homage to Route 66 with paint on canvas depicting various aspects of the artery that connected East and West. Gallery guests will see depictions of the people, places, and things reminiscent of this fabled highway.
